God’s Address

I came across this cartoon last evening and found it intellectually stimulating. This cartoon is open to different interpretations from both atheists and theists.

Cartoonist Dan Pirraro himself stated “However you take this cartoon, I think it’s an interesting idea. If God is only in the minds of humans, how is he looking at the sign? If He actually exists and someone did this to Him as a joke, why does it make Him mad?

While religious moralists may find any cartoon with God off-putting, I think this cartoon can be enjoyed by everyone.

Kensington Ken’s Kerala Koffee!

Noticed last night a similar picture to the above in the “Eye Spy” section of the latest issue of Private Eye (Issue 1208). Seems a bit bizarre!!! Why would an Indian name his coffee shop after Ken Livingstone? Is it to attract British tourists? Or is the owner a fan of ‘Red’ Ken?

Kerala has had a long history of democratically elected communist government and maybe Ken is ‘their man in London’? Wonder what is further up the road in pro royal conservative state of Karnataka? A Boris Johnson Bicycle Shop perhaps?????

From Private Eye

To my surprise, when I enquired about John Grisham’s “Christmas with the Kranks” book at Borders Castlereagh Street store last week, I was told that it is on display in the cooking section!!!!!! No one on the floor could give me the reason for this. All I could get from a bored bookstore assistant was “Well that’s where they’ve asked us to put it.” Back home in the UK, I remember Waterstones placing a book on refugees in the travel section!!!!

Wonder what qualifications you need to work in a bookstore these days?

Cats and Blogs

I have just been informed that

1) there are internet regulations requiring all bloggers to post at least one cute cat picture and

2) there are cybercat patrols who regularly monitor the internet and if they find a blog ‘sans’ cat, they immediately suspend it until the offender post lots of cute pictures of cats.

Therefore, here’s a picture of Pushkin the Cat!!!!!

Just to be on the safer side. Here’s another cute picture of Pushkin. Enjoy!

What if?

This one is by Bruce Plante of Chattanooga Times Free Press. It made me laugh out loud. There are more cartoons on WGA strike at http://www.cagle.com/news/WritersStrike/main.asp Worth checking it out.
