On a bus in downtown San Francisco last week, a conversation between two European’s who obviously had no idea about US politics:

 “I hope the Americans elect Obama as their President and Sarah Palin as their Vice President.”

On radio (Edge 96.1 FM) this morning.

DJ: In which country will you find the city Doha? Here’s a clue for you. It’s in the Middle East and the name begins with the letter Q.

Contestant: Umm. Is it Pakistan?

DJ: No, I said it’s in the Middle East and its name begins with the letter Q.

Contestant: Ah! Is it Quebec?

At a bureau de change .

“Can I buy some French Euros please?”

At Starbucks on Oxford Street this morning.
